Over 100 guests gathered at Oxford High for the Salus Women Wellbeing event last September

On Thursday 29th September 2016 over 100 guests gathered at Oxford High for the Salus Women Wellbeing event.

The evening included exclusive shopping combined with inspiring talks from Jackie Jarvis and Rachel McGuinness, alongside superb dining kindly donated by Thomas Franks.

Named after the Roman Goddess of Wellbeing, Salus Women is part of the Oxford Radcliffe Hospitals Charitable Funds and run by a dedicated committee, which includes Nicola Poole, MD of Hedges Law and Dr Helen Turner, Consultant in Endocrinology at the Churchill Hospital.

This dynamic network of professional women is united by a passion for supporting women’s health and aim to raise funds and awareness for initiatives across the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The evening was attended by Oxford High Head, Judith Carlisle, Dr Bernadette Lavery, Clinical Director for the Cancer Strategic Clinical Network in Thames Valley, Dame Fiona Caldicott, Chairman of Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and many hospital staff, school teaching staff and business woman from the local community.

This event raised over £4,000 for the Churchill Hospital Surgical Unit Appeal.
